here's a little bit about my story...
let's get one thing straight...healthy never came natural to me. Unfortunately, I was never super genetically blessed in the weight department. I gained weight at the drop of a bagel and at the glance of a perfectly delicious loaf of sourdough bread (le sigh). My weight gain was always very quickly visible on my 5'4 frame - something I was very self-conscious about for most of my life.
I had always eaten a diet consisting primarily of processed packaged snacks, refined carbohydrates & sugar. Mind you, this was of no fault to anyone - this was just the normal standard American diet! I constantly experienced chronic inflammation, bloat, digestive issues, awful mood swings, depression, anxiety, ovarian cysts, severe asthma and over time - constant weight gain. I had zero idea that these health issues were related to my diet and lifestyle.
I would start crash diet after crash diet and always quit 1-2 weeks in, without fail. I assumed healthy was just "hard" and unattainable. I ultimately accepted that gaining weight and feeling like complete crap was just "normal" as you got older. After a milestone birthday, however, I was scrolling through pictures from the night before. Mid scroll - I stopped dead in my tracks. Was that unhappy, overweight, insecure girl really ME? How did I not notice what was happening right before my very eyes? I had let myself gain over 30+ pounds. I couldn't remember the last time I was truly happy. I felt truly lost in all aspects of life and felt like it was hopeless. That was IT for me! I decided that I needed a long-term solution and I needed to figure it out right away.
enter: the keto diet.
Did I just uncover the yummiest, craziest diet EVER?! I decided to begin immediately. Long story short - 2 1/2 years later, I'm 55 pounds down and my life has done a complete 180. I discovered that keto was the entry way for me to retrain my habits, ditch sugar and learn about blood sugar balance. Although keto was a little strict for me, I appreciate what healing it does for the body and still follow these principles in my daily routine now.
I follow a balanced, low carb lifestyle and can honestly say, I feel the best I've ever felt in my entire life. I feel better now in my 30's than I did when I was in my 20's. I prioritize body movement and self care. I destress whenever I can to keep my mind right. I really transformed my life inside and out.

well, for one - I approach low carb/balanced eating very differently. As said before, I make this plan work according to your lifestyle, personal preferences and personal health intentions. Health isn't a one size fit all regimen, it can look very different from person to person because helloooo - we are all different (its our superpower!)
two - health & fat loss journeys aren't easy! When you learn to nourish & fuel your body properly (and in a more body-loving way), food won't be used as your band-aid anymore - your crutch. You'll be forced to face emotions, stressors and well, the hard stuff you've been holding onto (yes, even those dreaded emotions, EEK!). This will require some mindset work which I can luckily help you with!
Times will get tough during your health & wellness journey...your brain WILL play tricks on you and you'll almost certainly want to give up & go back to your old routine (because your brain will be trying to keep you safe).
that's where I come in! I won't let you fail or stop.
As your accountability partner and coach, I provide personalized support and guidance to ensure that you keep going and get the results you truly deserve. Together, we'll work through those limiting thoughts, beliefs, stalls and frustrations. We'll discuss healthy ways to balance stress when the fronts roll in - I'll even guide you through easy meditations and breathing exercises that you can use for years to come (no religious affiliation required! anyone can meditate.)
We'll connect regularly, assess progress & celebrate your wins! We'll adjust your plan as needed to ensure you are getting the most out of your new lifestyle. And last, but certainly not least, you'll be left with a framework for a totally sustainable, healthy lifestyle vs. a quick fix diet.
